Hi there! I’m Sandy, the voice behind Spoon & Wander.
Originally from Paris, I’ve spent the last 10 years in Thailand, with the last three in my little slice of paradise, Phuket. Spoon & Wander started in 2019, after years of my friends nudging me to create a place where I could share my recommendations with the world. According to them, I’m their go-to for the best food finds, and they liked the idea of a one-stop spot they could visit anytime they needed advice on where to eat or explore. Fun fact: they still ask me for recommendations, even though I now have the blog!
Why Spoon & Wander?
Initially, I wanted to call the blog Fork and the City, inspired by my love for Carrie Bradshaw and Sex and the City. But since another food blogger in NYC had already claimed the name, I decided to think bigger. I wanted a brand name that didn’t just reflect me personally—something that could grow, with other contributors and voices over time.
Spoon & Wander embodies the two things I’m most passionate about: indulging in great food and discovering new places. I wanted a name that could resonate with both foodies and travelers, capturing a voice that feels both sophisticated and approachable—true to my Parisian roots with that perfect touch of “je ne sais quoi.”
So, welcome to Spoon & Wander! I’m thrilled to have you along for the journey of savoring life, one bite and one adventure at a time.

Please note that all my reviews reflect my personal opinions, and I strive to maintain honesty throughout. While I am not paid for my reviews, there are instances where I may have been invited or have personally paid for the experience. Some of the featured places hold a special place in my heart and are spots you might even find me visiting. Thailand’s vastness prevents me from reviewing every single establishment, and I choose to keep some of my favorite hidden gems a secret, exclusively for myself and close friends.
