Hi,  I’m Sandrine. Born in Paris. Rewired by Thailand.

I never set out to write about food. It started slowly, without a plan, just a growing need to understand why certain meals moved me. Ten years later, here I am. Since 2021, I’ve been based in Phuket. Not because it’s easy or polished, but because it feels honest. It’s imperfect, layered, and full of moments that begin with food and unravel into something much deeper.

I’m opinionated, obsessive, a little loud. I don’t do polished travel writing. I tell the truth as I taste it.

What Food Means to Me

Food is how I listen. How I connect. How I learn to belong.

I don’t chase Instagram spots or hunt down “authenticity” like a buzzword. I sit on plastic stools. I ask questions. I burn my tongue on broth that’s been simmering since sunrise. And I keep going back.

The best meals often come from people who don’t need attention. They come with repetition, craft, and quiet pride. That’s what I’m here for.

This space is for food that means something. If that’s what you’re hungry for, welcome.

Please note that all my reviews reflect my personal opinions, and I strive to maintain honesty throughout. While I am not paid for my reviews, there are instances where I may have been invited or have personally paid for the experience. Some of the featured places hold a special place in my heart and are spots you might even find me visiting. Thailand’s vastness prevents me from reviewing every single establishment, and I choose to keep some of my favorite hidden gems a secret, exclusively for myself and close friends.
