The anticipation for Christmas is palpable, and the prospect of having them around makes the festivities all the more special. We’re in the midst of deciding whether to embrace a traditional French Christmas feast at home on Christmas Eve or indulge in a delightful seafood platter. The final choice will be on the agenda for discussion when my parents touch down in Phuket next week. Already, the festive spirit is transforming my home, with the Christmas tree adorned in garlands, lights, and festive ornaments.

If you’re leaning towards a more stylish and tropical celebration, consider heading to one of the luxury resorts on the beachside. Many hotels have curated special experiences to make your festive dining on the beach an extravagant and memorable affair.

As for the New Year celebration, whether you prefer a cozy and private affair or a lively beachside picnic dinner under the stars, Phuket has something for everyone. Alternatively, you can join one of the extravagant parties hosted by hotels or restaurants. When the clock strikes midnight, regardless of your choice, don’t miss the spectacular fireworks lighting up the Phuket sky.

Patricia from Southern Candles will guide you on how to craft your personalized scented candle, step by step. All candle-making materials will be provided including soy wax, pigments, essential and fragrance oils, seashells, dried flowers, spices, and natural crystals.
Patricia started creating scented candles in May 2021. She realized that she needed to find that life-work balance and improve her mental health through the power of aromatherapy. This sustainable candle-making initiative started when she discovered her “safe aroma.” That’s right! It’s an aroma that our brain associates with a moment of joy or comfort and that is able to reset our mind and body instantly. Her “safe aroma” is coffee, which played a great role in her personal healing journey.
